Directions
From North (A10): Take exit 36 off the A10 (signed
Pons) and follow road to Gemozac (D732). Mortagne-sur-Gironde
is signposted at Gemozac (D6). This leads you to Boutenac
Touvent where you will come to a roundabout. Go straight
on and up a gently rising hill out of Boutenac.
At the top of the hill you will see a moulin (mill)
on your left. Take a right turn opposite the mill
onto the D245 (signposted Chenac and Epargnes). Font
Remy is the first building on the left. Ignore the
first driveway and take the second.
If you arrive by air from Bordeaux,
the directions are as follows:
From South (A10): Take exit 37 off the A10, which
is signposted Mirambeau. Take the D730 signposted
Royan - it's a left turn at the T junction after the
toll booth. Follow the road until you reach the roundabout
at Boutenac Touvent and turn left. Directions are
then as above. |
Our Location
Font Remy is easily reached by car
or by air.
BY CAR
Font Remy is about 4 hours' drive
from St Malo, 5 hours from Le Havre or 7 hours from
Calais. The motorway which brings you into Charente
Maritime is the A10.
The best route from Calais is via
Boulogne, Rouen, Le Mans and Tours - simply follow
the signs and you can’t go wrong. It's motorway
all the way (apart from going around Rouen) and brand
new roads make the drive a pleasure and quicker than
the route via Paris.
BY AIR
Font Remy is 1 hour’s drive
from both La Rochelle and Bordeaux airports, 90 mins
from Poitiers and about 2 hours from Limoges and Bergerac.
