View of the pool and the vineyards beyond from an upstairs bedroom window (Rose)

15m x 8m heated pool in use on a lovely June day (pool is fenced and has safety gate)

Games barn - with table tennis, pool table and table football, plus children's corner with books, games and Disney videos

The pool is visible from all the patios so you can keep an eye on things from the comfort of your sun lounger

The 2 acre walled garden means there is plenty of space to play ball games or to find a quiet corner in which to read

Boules Pitch for those early evening competitive matches (boules provided)

Each house has its own patio with gas bbq...

wooden table and chairs and sun loungers

The pretty port at Mortagne is a 40 minute walk (5 minute drive) and has a pizzeria and a few bars/restaurants

You can hire boats and go out fishing from the port in Mortagne

The town has butchers, bakers, a cash point, chemist and small supermarket too - so you don't have to travel far

You can buy the local aperitif 'pineau' and cognac from the vineyard in the village. There are also wine tastings nearby

There is a different sandy beach for every day of the week within 40 minues drive - this one at St Georges (25 mins) is great for beach games

The closest: La Plage des Nonnes at Merschers (20 mins) has a good beach bar

The ice creams at the nearby Plage des Vernes (20 mins) are delicious

but our favourite beach for a full day out is probably at St Palais (40 mins)
